Love is a Rose

Experience an incredible evening celebrating the music of Linda Ronstadt, one of America’s greatest female singers, with, at the second performance of the 36th season of the Outer Banks Forum for the Lively Arts on Sat., Oct. 13 at 7:30 p.m., according to David Connaughton, president of the Outer Banks Forum.  All programs will be held at First Flight High School.

“This tribute will feature award-winning Paula Hanke and Peggy Ratusz, two WNC torch singers and collaborators.,” said Connaughton.  “Clearly a labor of love for the pair, it will include greatest hits, fan favorites and even unheralded B-sides of Ronstadt’s entire career, stretching back to the ‘60s.  You won’t want to miss this performance!”

  They are backed by proficient instrumentalists: Grant Cuthbertson on upright and electric bass, James Kylen on drums, Bob Bencze on keys and vocals, and James Vandenberg on acoustic and electric guitar and vocals.
